Position Summary
The Technical Advisor is an entry-level role on the Technical Advisory Services team. Candidates for this position should have technical and/or engineering related experience and a strong interest in developing their consulting and business-relationship management skills. A Technical Advisor is expected to develop through hands-on activity, mentorship, and professional development with a goal of moving into the vCIO role. 

Technical Advisors play a pivotal role in supporting a Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) and the region’s customer base, in the collection, analysis, and management of Technology Business Review (TBR) data. This role is instrumental in helping the vCIO make informed decisions, optimize IT strategies, and maximize the value of technology investments for client organizations. As a technical resource for the assigned Account Manager and vCIO's regional customer base, the Technical Advisor will focus on technical discovery, assessment, and creation of the initial Technology Business Review draft. A Technical Advisory will leverage Thrive's internal tools and partner with internal teams to empower our teams to more effectively and efficiently provide our client's strategic guidance and recommendations in alignment with Thrive Platform Services

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the vCIO, Account Manager, and Senior Engineering resources to collect data related to an organization's technology infrastructure, IT processes, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Review and validate data accuracy and completeness, ensuring that the information gathered is reliable and up-to-date.
  • Assist in analyzing TBR data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in the client's IT landscape.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations that highlight key insights, risks, and recommendations based on the TBR data.
  • Collaborate with the vCIO to communicate findings, strategies, and action plans effectively.
  • Provide support to the vCIO in client meetings, answering questions, and addressing concerns related to TBR data and analysis
  • Assist vCIO with due diligence, audit, and evidence-based data collection and related documentation
  • Assist vCIO with Advisory Services roadmap software to create visual roadmap for customer to complement TBR
  • Assist with standard operating procedure documentation and related document template management
  • Assist with Technical Advisory Services initiatives on an as needed basis

Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret complex data and extract actionable insights
  • Familiarity with IT terminology and concepts, as well as proficiency in data analysis tools and software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey findings and recommendations effectively
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the vCIO and other team members in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adapt to changing client needs and evolving technology landscapes
  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving IT-related challenges
